This is the space where one would typically divulge the amazing details of their life, describe a litany of awards, include a quote or two from some lauded professional, and then direct you to more outlets of cyber bragging. Unless you include a short list of my quasi-superpowers such as the ability to stay up all night or being able to tell the approximate time without a watch (or cell phone), there’s not much to brag about. So please excuse the bland explanation that I am simply a person who compulsively loves to write. With just a lifetime of intractable depression, plus anxiety and some PTSD, oh and a little OCD.
Writing is a part-time obsession, while I continue to work full-time in my other life that is the hectic world of healthcare. I live in the Pacific Northwest, a place typically prone to gothic grey skies, although climate change is making it increasingly sunny- much to my emo annoyance. I live with my spouse, who supports my writing with their voracious appetite for reading and immense patience. We share our household with a small neurotic mammal that indulges our pretense of owning her, while she deigns to eat the food we’ve selected.
If you’ve taken the time to read one of my stories, I hope you will consider leaving a comment. These stories are the literary babies I typed into being, and like any parent, I see their fictional beauty with a biased eye. Without feedback I'll retain the bias; sometimes you need perspective on your funny looking kids.
